I used the Stink-Free stuff once but never again; it's got perfume in it (Freesia?) so I call it Stink-REPLACE. I am sensitive to odors and want to remove the urine odor, not replace it with another odor that's almost as bad. What is it with manufacturers and perfume?

So first I tried using a black light from the grocery store in a table lamp and holding the lamp upside down to put the bulb an inch from the carpet. Even stains I KNOW are there showed NOTHING. I ended up crawling around on my hands an knees smelling every square foot to find which ones had issues. This method took longer but worked.

I went to petco and purchased this with pretty much the full intention of bringing it back. OH MY GOSH>>> it totally works! The light was worth every penny and I'm even lending it to friends. It took a bit of getting used to what I"m looking for on the ones that I've already cleaned but something is still there... but on the ones that are new, they shine bright yellow even when I'm holding the light at my waist.

I haven't used the solution yet that came with it, since I already had several other products lined up to use, I just purchased this to see if the light worked. I can recommend getting a tester of "odorcide" from a janitorial supply company. You can add it to anything except bleach (carpet cleaning solution, oxiclean, etc.) for an extra odor removing punch.
